Ronaldo Nazário publicly complained after the defeat suffered by the team he leads, Real Valladolid, last Saturday against Sevilla in La Liga. The game ended 3-0. But what was the trigger for this complaint?
When the game was 0-0 and the first half was over, his team attacked the Sevilla goal and shot the ball, scoring a goal and unleashing madness among players and fans. But, at that precise moment the referee Miguel Ángel Ortiz announced that the first half had ended just before the shot was taken.

This provoked the anger of everyone on the field and in the stands. The one most upset was the coach Paulo Pezzolano who, before the restart of the game, asked the judge for explanations about the play and he admitted that he was wrong. But the annoyance persisted among the fans, the coaching staff, the players and even the leaders.
“INADMISSIBLE what happened today in Zorrilla! Until now we had been silent trying to vindicate our dissatisfaction through official means, meetings and petitions, avoiding making a public exposure. But enough already! This is professional football and we demand explanations. Mistakes of these dimensions can change an entire season. But let one thing be clear: we will fight EVERYTHING and EVERYONE because we are Real Valladolid. Our team, our fans and our city have given everything and no one is going to take it from us”, wrote Ronaldo on his Twitter account.

It did not help to calm the waters that during the second half. Sevilla brought out their class and the game ended with a defeat for Real Valladolid by 3-0. Ronaldo’s team is very committed to relegation and with four dates to go they lie just outside the fatal zone by one point.
