According to journalist Dean Jones, Arsenal could be looking for a cheaper alternative to Brazilian player Raphinha, who has been targeted by the London club before. Raphinha, who is currently playing at FC Barcelona, could be put up for sale by the Catalan club for financial reasons.
Even if the player does not want to leave the Spanish club, he could be sold to bail out Barça’s coffers. Arsenal, which is looking to strengthen its workforce for the next season, could therefore be interested in a possible transfer.

However, according to Jones, the London club may be more inclined to look for a cheaper alternative, given the fierce competition Raphinha would face in Arteta’s squad, especially with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
Jones also believes Newcastle could be a possible destination for Raphinha, but it would represent a step backwards for the player who joined Barcelona to fulfill his dream.
Raphinha, who has been described as a “magician” by former Leeds team-mate Daniel James, enjoyed a strong debut season at Barca, with 18 assists in 41 games. The player also proved himself in the Premier League while playing for Leeds, where he scored 17 goals and provided 12 assists in 65 appearances.
