Since Harry Kane left to join Bayern Munich, Richarlison had the opportunity to play as a central striker for the Tottenham squad in the 2023/24 season.
Sadly, he hasn’t managed to find the net in the first three Premier League games so far which is causing concern among the fans. Despite this, coach Ange Postecoglou remains convinced of Richarlison’s abilities.
After Tottenham’s victory against Bournemouth (2-0) in the last game, Postecoglou said: “He must continue to work hard and contribute to the team. Richy is a good player and he will end up scoring goals”

Richarlison joined Tottenham in July 2022 for a fee of £50m. Since that time, he has scored three goals in official games in previous season. However, he hasn’t scored a goal in seven games. Despite this, he started in the draw against Brentford and wins against Manchester United and Bournemouth.
Tottenham fans were used to seeing Harry Kane in the striker role. However, Postecoglou believes the club needs to evolve and focus on its own challenges, rather than comparison with the past.
