Former Brazilian national team manager Tite could embark on a new experience in the United States. According to Goal, the veteran coach is in conversations with Orlando City to take the reins for the remainder of the 2023 MLS season. Though his idea was reportedly to work in Europe, he would be thrilled about this opportunity since his intention is to work abroad.

Corinthians tried to bring him back this season, but the 62-year-old turned them down to continue looking for an opening elsewhere. With the European football season about to get started, Tite understands his desire to work in one of the top five leagues in the Old Continent may have to wait.

Tite reportedly draws interest from MLS

The report claims Tite is on the radar of another Major League Soccer franchise, though Orlando City would be in pole position to land the Brazilian coach. The Florida team currently has Oscar Pareja at the post, but it looks like the front office is considering a managerial change.

While Orlando has just been eliminated from the 2023 Leagues Cup at the hands of Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, it is currently fifth in the Eastern Conference standings with 37 points in 23 games.

Tite has been a free agent since resigning as the Brazil national team manager after the 2022 World Cup. He has worked abroad only twice so far, having coached Al Ain (2007/08) and Al Wahda (2010) in United Arab Emirates. After six years in charge of the Seleção, he’s ready to get back to the club level. But not in his home country.
