The 31-year-old will replace Pedro, who felt pain in the adductor thigh muscle during training this Saturday.
According to the national team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, the injury to the Flamengo player is not serious:
“It is a small injury, but in our understanding there are no conditions for the athlete to participate in the game on Tuesday “ he declared.
The Colorado scorer mentioned how he received the news and did not hide his happiness at the call-up.
“Rodrigo Caetano (Internacional’s football executive) came out of nowhere and said: “go to the Brazilian team, Juninho Paulista wants to talk to you”. Galhardo featured for Internacional yesterday as they fell out to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Santos.
