The new manager arrives in Goiânia this Saturday to watch the game against Atlético-GO in Serrinha. However, the team will be led by interim Glauber Ramos, who is the club’s under-20 assistant.
Goiás was thinking of having a new coach with something of a more modern profile. Rather than a coach with a CV of several titles, but a scholar and teacher and who wants to win. A manager who wants to work hard and grow his career. This was the words of club President Marcelo Almeida.
Larghi signed a contract with Goiás until the end of the Brasileirão, in February 2021. He takes over the team bringing an assistant, a physical trainer and, possibly, also a performance analyst. The names are yet to be disclosed.

Thiago Larghi started as an assistant at Botafogo. Then he had two spells at Sport and one at Corinthians. His main job, however, was at Atlético-MG, in 2018. Among interim and effective coach, he was at the head of the team for eight months.
During this period, Larghi trained the Rooster in 49 matches. There were 23 wins, 12 draws and 14 losses, 55% of which were used. With him, the team scored 74 goals and conceded 46 in that time. He was fired in October 2018 and has since been out of work at any club.
In Goiás, Thiago Larghi will be part of a work to reform the football department,
promoted in haste by the board after the resignations of Ney Franco and director Túlio Lustosa . He will have direct contact with Harlei Menezes, former goalkeeper and idol of the club, who this Friday took over the management of football for the third time.
