Another thrashing against Liverpool, another wave of criticism for Carlos Casemiro.
Manchester United hosted Liverpool under Arne Slot with the intention of shaking off the bad feelings and poor results against the team formerly managed by Jürgen Klopp. However, the Dutch coach’s tenure at Liverpool in the England Classic started with a solid 0-3 defeat against the Red Devils, and once again, Casemiro bore much of the blame for the result.
Substituted in the first 45 minutes after two glaring mistakes that led, directly or indirectly, to the two goals scored by Luis Díaz in the first half, Casemiro received another wave of criticism from fans and legends of Manchester United, who blamed him for the poor defensive performance of the Manchester team against Liverpool.

Casemiro, used to criticism, remained silent amid this new wave of hate he has received on social media and in the media, but his wife, Anna Mariana Casemiro, used her official Instagram account to send a subtle and spicy message, showcasing the enviable trophy haul that Casemiro has accumulated in his successful career in European football.
A picture is worth a thousand words, goes the popular saying.
After posting that image, the wife of the Brazilian footballer used the same medium to calm the waters, posting a picture of her husband with the caption:
“Always strong, Casemiro. The greatest, Manchester United,” showing her support for both her husband and the English club.
As a measure to contain the hate, Casemiro limited comments on his official Instagram account, but posts with his image on the official Manchester United account are still filled with hateful comments asking him to “please retire once and for all or go to Saudi football.” Not to mention the mockery and insults, which are being gradually removed from the comments.
