Guilherme Gandra Moura, affectionately nicknamed Gui, is a fervent supporter of Vasco da Gama aged only 8. He touched and moved the whole country of Brazil after waking up from a coma that lasted 16 days due to a rare condition called epidermolysis bullosa. Now back home, Gui is slowly resuming his daily routine with his family.

Gui lives in Itaguaí, a municipality located more than 100 km from downtown Rio de Janeiro, with his mother Tayane, his brother Antonny and his father Estevão, who is separated from his mother but also lives in Itaguaí. Despite the limitations and the necessary care due to his skin condition, Gui remains a happy and playful child.

Gui and his joys with Sonic and his friends

Currently, Gui is still feeling the effects of the sedation, which is making him a bit more tired and less active than usual. However, a funny toy such as the Sonic plush offered by “Tio Matheus Guimarães” gives him a lot of joy. Gui also appreciates the jerseys offered by “Tio Pec” and the football boots of “Tio Pedro Raul”.

In addition to his love for Vasco da Gama, Gui is a huge fan of Mario, Teen Titans, Pokémon, Spider-Man, Naruto, and other characters. He is appreciated in his neighborhood and interacts with everyone in a friendly way. Due to the necessary precautions, his outings are still gradual, but he has already visited a mall, attended a church service and even paid a visit to Moacyr Barbosa’s training facility. After his interview with Lance!, Gui also went to the movies with his family, accompanied by Sonic.

Gui’s dreams and passions

Like all children, Gui has dreams. One of his dreams is to walk the pitch alongside striker Gabriel Pec. His other dream is to become a football player himself. So, Vasco da Gama, keep an eye on him!

In the spirit of the quote, “As long as there is a child’s heart, Vasco da Gama will be immortal.
