The current sporting director of Arsenal started his professional career defending Corinthians and decided to go to English football in the 2000/01 season. In the following season, he began to receive opportunities from former coach Arsène Wenger, being responsible for a goal and an assist in the journey that culminated in the Premier League title.
In 2003/04, the former player was consolidated as one of the main options in the squad, being used in 30 matches for the national competition: two goals and two assists in 30 appearances. In the following years, the Brazilian defended Valencia and hung up his boots in the place where he started his career: Corinthians.

Gilberto Silva
Unlike Edu, the also former midfielder did not participate in the trophy won in 2000/01, as he arrived the following season. The former athlete, revealed by América-MG, was the absolute holder of the undefeated title, being used in 32 games (four goals and four decisive passes). There was so much prestige with Wenger that he was even chosen as captain on one occasion: 1-1 against Charlton.
Known by the English as The Invisible Wall (The Invisible Wall), the former playmaker is considered one of the greatest players in the history of the Gunners, where he remained for six seasons. After leaving, he defended Panathinaikos (Greece), Grêmio and Atlético-MG (the last club of his career).
