Erik ten Hag still has a lot of work to do at Manchester United. His first season at Old Trafford has positive moments, but the team is still far from his aspirations. While Arsenal and City are fighting for the league, the “Red Devils” are fighting to finish in the top four.
That is why the Dutch coach would already have his sights set on the next season, in which his players will have to take a step forward. To do this, ten Hag would carry out a “cleanup” in the squad with the departure of several players, including Alex Telles.

Manchester United would part with Alex Telles next season
According to the British media Daily Mail, the Brazilian winger would not be taken into account next semester. Telles was already ruled out by ten Hag this season, when he was loaned to Sevilla for a year. He is due to return to Old Trafford in July, although he would not stay permanently.
The 30-year-old defender joined United in October 2020 from Porto on a €15m transfer. He was part of the Brazilian squad in the last World Cup, although an injury sidelined him for much of the tournament. With Luke Shaw at a high level, his future seems to be far from Manchester.
