The silver medal for the Brazilian National Team passed through the feet of many players, but mainly through the determination and will of Tarciane. The defender was one of the pillars of Brazil’s defense and commented on the work of coach Arthur Elias, who led the Brazilian team to the final of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
“We have to be proud of what we accomplished in 10 months of work with Arthur. He made everyone believe in the work, made us believe that we could reach the final, and that’s what we did; we tried until the last minute. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the result we wanted, but in four years, we will try again,” she said.

“We have a great group; we are doing very well and are very united, and regardless of the color of the medal, we are proud of what we did here. Many people did not believe in the Brazilian National Team, and now they saw what we are capable of, and we will always need your support,” she added.
Raised in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, the sheriff of the Brazilian national team began her journey in sports at a young age. Her passion for the sport led Tarciane to take her first steps in the Daminhas da Bola Project at the age of 16, where, with talent and dedication, she earned her first of many call-ups to the glorious national team.
At the end of 2018, she joined the youth categories of Fluminense, achieving not only prominence but also her first U-18 Brazilian Championship in 2021, playing a key role in the victory of the Rio team. With her skill and leadership on the field, the defender gained visibility in the country and was soon transferred to São Paulo’s Corinthians.
Establishing herself as one of the best defenders on the national scene, she helped the São Paulo club win several championships, both state and national. Her performance led to more call-ups for the Amarelinha, culminating in her first call-up to the senior national team in 2022.
Currently, she is considered a promising talent in Brazilian women’s football. Her journey so far demonstrates not only her talent but also her determination to evolve and stand out not only in Brazil but in other countries as well. This fact led her to Houston, specifically to the Houston Dash, a team in the top tier of American football.
With her work, presence on the field, and confidence, Tarciane has established herself as a key player for the national team, firmly taking on the number 3 jersey and the role of sheriff. For this reason, she was called up for her first Olympics, where, as a starter, she had excellent matches, gaining more and more space during the games and, as usual, defending Brazil with much more than just nails and teeth.
