Tarciane, 21 years old, is a title collector. She has won four Brazilian championships (one with the Under-18 team at Fluminense and the other three with the professional team at Corinthians), two state championships, three Supercopa do Brasil titles, one Libertadores, and one Under-20 South American Championship with the Brazilian national team, among others. Called up by Arthur Elias for the Olympic Games, the defender shows in training in Bordeaux that she is ready for the challenge.

“It took a while for it to sink in. Being on the list of 22 is an honor, a huge joy. Everything has happened very quickly in my career, but I always felt that things came and come at the right moment; I am prepared, and the Olympics will be another challenge. I hope to be able to help the national team and that everything goes well.”

In addition to being very efficient in defense, Tarciane can be an asset in other areas of the team. She has previously played as a midfielder when called up for youth national teams. She also has good heading ability and was the top scorer for Brazil in the Under-20 South American Championship held in Chile in 2022.

With a strong personality, Tarciane counts on the support of Brazilian fans in pursuit of the team’s Olympic dream. She knows that the opponents are well-regarded but has great faith in the national team and in the work of coach Arthur Elias, with whom she has worked at Corinthians.

“We’re on the right track, and it’s always nice to receive the affection of the fans. From my side, I can say that I won’t lack energy here in France to help my teammates in these Olympics.”
