Since all eyes turned to the Saudi club of Al-Nassr when Cristiano Ronaldo signed the most prolific contract in the history of football there (400M€ in two years), another prodigy of Brazilian football has stolen his star, or at least, performs at the same level as the five times winner of the Ballon D’Or.

Disappearing from radar since his 2019 Chinese exile at Guangzhou Evergrande, where the attacking midfielder had just come out of a high-flying period spent in Europe with SL Benfica and Beşiktaş JK, Anderson Souza Conceição, commonly known as Talisca, is at his best season from the top of his 29 springs.

Trained at SC Bahia, where the lefy -notably won the state championship in 2014, Talisca signed a 5-year contract with the Saudi club Al-Nassr in July 2021, for a transfer of 8 million euros. Since that day, it is clear that everything is going well for the Brazilian. That even prompted him to extend his contract until 2026.

34 goals in 46 games, the best ratio of his career

This season, Talisca is his team’s top scorer. He scored 17 goals in 20 games in all competitions, six more than his new attacking buddy, Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 11 in 10 games played this year with Al-Nassr.

He is also the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League, tied with Hamedellah and Ighalo at 16 goals. He finished second in this ranking last year with 20 achievements, just behind the last city who had scored 24.

Duel at the top to come against Al-Hilal

This Tuesday (18), during the clash of the Saudi championship between Al-Hilal, 4th in the ranking, and Al-Nassr second, Talisca will once again have the opportunity to show the world the extent of his talent, as he always has. The only difference is that this time, with the presence of CR7, all the lights will be on this match, and therefore on him. It’s up to him to make good use of it. Perhaps this is finally his chance to join the Brazilian National Team.

Who knows.
