In the wake of the rumors that linked him with a potential reunion with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, Luis Suárez set the record straight. In an interview with Uruguayan outlet El Observador, the veteran striker denied any possibility of leaving Gremio for the MLS.
“This is false, it is impossible. I am very happy at Gremio and I have a contract until 2024,” the 36-year-old said. Lucho has been in Porto Alegre for only three months now, and it looks like his story with the Tricolor is just getting started.

The former Barcelona star has been prolific from day one, contributing to the Campeonato Gaúcho title with seven goals and three assists. Suárez boasts 11 goals across all competitions this season, and his adventure in Brazil still has many chapters left.
