Last January, Dani Alves was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman at a Barcelona nightclub in the previous December. Since then, he has been kept in detention awaiting trial, despite his appeal attempts being rejected by the Spanish court.
As the wait continues for Dani Alves, videos of his court appearance have leaked. These images, the first since his incarceration, show a player visibly affected by the situation. The former FC Barcelona star stands in the courtroom, surrounded by his lawyers.

Daniel Alves is being held at Brians 2 penitentiary and, on April 17, he was taken to testify before the investigating judge in the case.
According to TV, it was the second time that the Brazilian stood before the magistrate. At that hearing, the player acknowledged that he had sexual intercourse with the woman, something he had previously denied. He claimed to have lied to try to preserve his marriage to model Joana Sanz. In recent interviews, the Spaniard confirmed that the two are in the process of divorce.
The investigation came to an end almost five months after the arrest. According to the Spanish newspaper El Periódico, the trial will take place next autumn in Spain, specifically, between the months of October and November of this year.
The portal also states that the Brazilian side will not have his freedom granted and will need to wait for the final decision inside the Brians 2 prison.
