Justice takes time, but it eventually comes. The Madrid Prosecutor’s Office has recently confirmed that a resolution has already been reached regarding the case that occurred at the beginning of the year in the run-up to the match between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid on January 26 of this year.
In the hours prior to said match, an unfortunate racist episode perpetuated by the ‘ultras’ of the Atlético Front was revealed. In the early hours of that day, a group of four fans of the Colchonero team hung a banner on a central and busy bridge in Madrid with a message: “Madrid hates Real”.
However, this was not all, since they also hung from the bridge an inflatable doll painted brown wearing a Real Madrid shirt with the number of the Brazilian footballer, Vinicius Jr., simulating the hanging of the forward.

The Madrid Prosecutor’s Office has requested four years in prison for the perpetrators
Almost 11 months after that case, various Spanish media have confirmed that the city prosecutor’s office has requested four years in prison for the four perpetrators of that hate crime and that all of them must pay financial compensation for “moral damages” to the player that would be around 6,000 euros.
Despite this initial sentence, the four perpetrators of the crime will not yet set foot in prison, since the date of the trial remains uncertain, but what is clear is that sooner rather than later it will begin and that their actions will not go unpunished.
Furthermore, the people involved, who are on parole, already have a restraining order that does not allow them to come within 1,000 meters of any place where Vinicius is and they cannot come within 100 meters of the Santiago Bernabéu or the Civitas Metropolitano.
