Real Madrid are in a tight situation at the moment with one of their most important players possibly on his way out of the club. Sergio Ramos has failed to come to a renewal with the club and is contract is up at the end of the season.
Asides Sergio Ramos, Lucas Vazquez also finds himself in the same situation and it could be a massive blow to Zinedine Zidane and the club’s hierarchy if they lose both players in one window.
EL Chiringuito TV report that Sergio Ramos has already told Los Blancos owner Florentino Perez that he would start listening to new offers if he doesn’t get something that suits his taste soon enough.
The veteran defender was also quoted to have mentioned that PSG have already mentioned the idea of building their team around him and Lionel Messi who is also out of contract at Barcelona by the end of the season.
Ramos is already free to start talking with other clubs and Real Madrid face the prospect of losing perhaps their most influential player.
The Spaniard has been at the club since 2005 and has grown from a young defender into one of the most decorated players in the club’s history.
Given that he is 35 and has won all trophies there is to be won at Real Madrid, it is perhaps possible that Ramos is up for a new challenge as he approaches the twilight years of his career.
Real Madrid don’t offer new ‘bumper’ contracts to players of Ramos’ age but it is possible they make an exception in the Spaniard’s case.
