Red Bull Salzburg is the latest team from UEFA to secure qualification for the 2025 Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States. The Austrians secured their berth following Arsenal’s elimination against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The team, from the same business group as Bragantino, enters the tournament through the ranking system. Although there are others above them in the ranking, there is a limit of two teams per nation, with the exception being when more than two teams from the same country win the top continental tournament.

To celebrate, Salzburg posted an image of several ships sailing towards New York, each with the logo of the clubs already qualified on the sail of the boats. Among the chosen to represent the qualification are two from South America: Fluminense and Palmeiras.
The other CONMEBOL team with a secured spot is Flamengo. The three Brazilian institutions secured their berths by winning the last three editions of the Libertadores, and three more spots are yet to be determined, which will depend on the outcome of the current edition of the continental tournament.
Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, PSG, Inter Milan, Porto, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, and Atletico Madrid are the other teams representing Europe.
The Club World Cup, which will offer a substantial amount of money, will debut a new format next year. It will be played from June 15th to July 13th with 32 teams from different confederations, who will be divided into eight groups and then play directly from the round of 16 to the final.
