The Second Division of the Carioca Championship starts in May. Before the start of the competition, he may form a duo with his son Romarinho in friendly matches. The young player will reinforce America in the competition.

Romarinho is signed by America-RJ

Romarinho, Romário’s son, has just been signed by America-RJ to be part of the squad that will play in the state of Rio de Janeiro’s second division, aiming to secure promotion to the first division next season.

At 30 years of age, Romarinho has not had a major impact in professional football, having played for 12 teams and scored only nine goals in his career. He joins the club to fight for promotion to the top tier of Rio de Janeiro football, where America-RJ has been absent since 2021.
