In the heart of Eindhoven, Romário found himself on the hallowed ground of the PSV Walk of Fame, where the names of legends are etched in history. He held the esteemed position of being the team’s third-highest goal scorer, having netted an astounding 128 goals in just 145 appearances.

His name sits just beneath the records of Serbian sensation Kezman, with 129 goals, and Dutch maestro Van der Kuijlen, who boasted an astonishing 333 goals.

Amidst the backdrop of the PSV arena, Romário shared a poignant moment, capturing it with a photograph, and penned heartfelt words: “In this stadium, I have little history” His words resonated with deep gratitude for the tribute bestowed upon him by the Dutch club.

During the tribute ceremony, emotions ran high as Romário spoke passionately, saying, “I would like to thank everything that was done for me in the almost six years I spent here at PSV. I gave everything I could give and I am very happy and honored to have worn the PSV shirt. I am always grateful for the eternal affection you have for me.”

Romário, the hero of Brazil’s 1994 Tetra triumph, celebrated six glorious titles during his time with PSV, spanning from 1988 to 1993. Among these achievements were three Dutch Championship victories, etching his name not only in PSV history but also in the hearts of football fans worldwide.
