One of the things that most impact people who are part of the world of sport or who don’t follow it are the big parties held by the fans to support their favorite team. So, Rivaldo spoke about the fans he played for and against, choosing one as the most notable.
Rivaldo is considered one of the greatest players in Brazilian and world football, having played for several teams around the world, such as Palmeiras, Barcelona, Milan and São Paulo. The former player surprised and spoke about what was the most important for him and also commented on the importance of the fans’ support for the player’s performance.
“The Corinthians and Palmeiras fans are fanatical. One fan base that really impressed me was Barcelona’s. At several moments the fans shouted his name, echoing throughout the entire stadium with almost 100 thousand people. This also happened in La Coruña and even in Greece, where they are also football fanatics. Almost every club I’ve been to has always had fans who are passionate about football and me. It’s very important to have that affection from the fans when you’re playing well.”

Not being an idol at Santa Cruz
One of Rivaldo’s first appearances in the world of football was for Santa Cruz, a club he carries a lot of affection for and follows to this day. However, the former player commented on the short time he spent there and that unfortunately he was unable to make history.
“I spent a short time here at Santa Cruz, I didn’t have much chance to play because when I was 19 I went to São Paulo. I can even say that I wasn’t an idol for Santa Cruz fans because I left too early, I couldn’t make history for the club. But it’s always a passionate crowd and they’ve always given me morale here in Pernambuco.”
Rivaldo confided all of this in an interview with bookamer Betfair.
