Left-back Renan Lodi, from Olympique de Marseille, and right-back Vanderson, from Monaco, were withdrawn from the Brazilian National Team, following conversations between the team’s doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, and the clubs’ respective medical departments.

To take their place, the national team coach, Fernando Diniz, called up Carlos Augusto, from Inter Milan, and Yan Couto, from Girona.

Brazil’s next games will be against Venezuela, on October 12th, in Cuiabá, and against Uruguay, on the 17th of the same month, in Montevideo, in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
