Minutes after the end of the match in which Venezuela did better and scored 3-1 in Brazil, on Thursday night (1), in Caracas, coach Ramon Menezes gave a quick interview at the Brígido Iriarte stadium and highlighted that the confidence in his players was not changed because of the setback against the Pre-Olympic hosts. He stated that the Brazilian team will enter the final quadrangular of the competition with great strength.

“I have a lot of confidence in this group, we are going into the finals with a lot of strength. We achieved our goal in the third game (classification). This was part of our planning, but we don"t like to lose, we represent Brazilian football, we have a very big responsibility. Perhaps we lacked greater concentration at the beginning of the game, something that cannot happen in a competition like this. In the locker room I gave a lot of trust to my players", said Ramon.

Regarding saving several players against Venezuela, Ramon explained that he had already done the same in the last Under-20 South American and Pan American Games.

“Today was a game that was part of our planning to provide opportunities for all athletes. We lost two players [Michel and Kaiki Bruno, injured], we didn"t have Arthur Chaves with the second card and Andrey and John Kennedy were hanging. So, this game It went through our planning. It was important for our analysis. Our group is very strong. You can be sure that we will go with great strength to the final quadrangular".
