PSG, Manchester United and Chelsea are battling to thwart Barcelona’s deal with Vitor Roque. The 18-year-old Brazilian striker, who shines at Athletico Paranaense with six goals and two assists in recent games, is attracting interest from these three big European clubs.
According to information from SPORT, recently PSG, Manchester United and Chelsea tried everything to convince him to break his verbal agreement with Barcelona. They have offered improved deals compared to the original deal between Barcelona and Athletico Paranaense, which was for €35m plus bonuses of €10m over three seasons. Moreover, the rival clubs offered Vitor Roque a much higher salary than the one offered by Barcelona.

Offers from PSG, Manchester United and Chelsea overtake Barcelona
Initially, in his first season at Barcelona, Roque was expected to earn 3.5 million euros gross. However, Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG have offered him almost three times that amount, with a gross salary of €10m. Attractive financial benefits have also been offered for his family and agent.
These offers are a challenge for Barcelona, who have to reduce their wage bill under La Liga rules. The Catalan club can only use 40% of their non-exceptional income to sign new players.
Despite the pressures, Vitor Roque remains determined to join Barcelona. He has given his word and will not be swayed by other offers. The trust of the player, his family and his entourage is essential to finalize this transfer.
The next steps concern the finalization of the contracts, both that of the transfer between the clubs and that of the player with Barcelona. Although it’s not over yet, FC Barcelona are close to reaching a deal for Vitor Roque.
