At 19 years old, Priscila has earned another chance in the main national team. After securing Brazil’s victory over Japan in a 2023 friendly with her decisive goal, she returns to the squad to compete in the SheBelieves Tournament, which began on the 1st and runs until April 9 in the United States.

Although she has already faced the Japanese team, this will be the first time the Internacional forward will have the chance to take on Canada, Brazil’s first opponent in the competition. The clash between the Brazilians and Canadians is scheduled for this Saturday (6), at 4:30 PM (Brasília time), at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

This tournament on American soil is one of the steps in the team’s preparation for the upcoming challenge of the Olympics in Paris, which will take place in July and August of this year.

“It’s a very important moment for us, a high-level preparation before the Olympics. May this motivate us to improve and represent our team in the best way at the Olympics,” said Priscila.

The forward is also vying for one of the 18 spots in Arthur Elias’s squad for the Olympics. She commented on the internal competition to be one of the coach’s choices.

“It’s a highly contested position, and the competition is fierce among the players who are standing out both in Brazil and abroad. However, we will continue to work hard to earn our place. Whoever is performing better will certainly be well evaluated by Arthur, and he will make the best decision.”
