Southampton defines value to sell Lyanco
According to UOL, Southampton values Lyanco at 4 million euros (R$21.5 million). This would be the amount necessary for Corinthians to be able to open negotiations with the English club.
This value is close to what Corinthians would pay to buy Matheuzinho, from Flamengo. However, the red-and-black rejected selling the right-back to the São Paulo club and the negotiation was finalized.
Corinthians goes after Lyanco
As reported by ESPN, Lyanco was offered to Corinthians. However, there is still no formal negotiation taking place. The defender belongs to Southampton, in England, but is committed to Al-Gharafa, in Qatar.
The defender’s father and businessman, Marcelo Vojnovic, is in Qatar and has scheduled a meeting with Al-Gharafa’s board of directors to understand Lyanco’s situation. The Brazilian has not played since the end of September, as he was injured.
This pre-season, Lyanco returned to training and participated in friendlies held by the Qatari club. The contract with Al-Gharafa runs until mid-2024.
Timão’s challenge is to obtain the release of Al-Gharafa, as Lyanco is in the plans of Pedro Martins, coach of the Qatari team.
