The talented Brazilian striker Raphinha has made his decision: he does not intend to leave FC Barcelona. His main objective is to consolidate his place in the team led by Xavi Hernández and improve his performance in the 2023/24 season.
According to statements by journalist Alex Pintanel on Twitter, Raphinha does not want a change of scenery, despite attempts at persuasion by Deco da Souza, his representative, who brought him from Leeds United to Catalonia. Deco wanted to convince him to listen to any potential offers that might come his way.

However, the Brazilian player is confident he can continue to progress within Xavi Hernández’s side. He has managed to establish himself as a starter in the La Liga champions this season and wants to play an even bigger role, despite the competition which could increase with the return of Ousmane Dembélé or the arrival of new wingers.
FC Barcelona had considered selling Raphinha, who enjoys an excellent reputation in the Premier League. Clubs such as Chelsea and Newcastle were ready to make substantial offers to sign him. However, the player remained silent and continued to perform well on the pitch which allowed him to outplay other competing strikers.

According to sources close to the player, Raphinha confided that he firmly believes in his abilities and that he does not plan to leave the Catalan club. Currently, he seems to have a better chance of staying in the team than players such as Ansu Fati or Ferran Torres, although the summer is going to be long and Mateu Alemany and Deco, the new duo at the helm of the sports management of Barça, still have a lot of work to do.
