The Brazilian sensation Estevão Willian, better known as Messinho, seems to be moving away from Paris Saint-Germain. At just 17 years old, the promising player is chaining remarkable performances with his club Palmeiras, where he recently scored his first goal in the championship against Cuiabá-MT last weekend.

According to the Catalan daily Sport, PSG sporting director Luis Campos failed to find common ground with Palmeiras president Leila Pereira regarding Messinho’s transfer. The Parisian club would therefore have decided to withdraw from the race for the young Brazilian talent. Instead, PSG would have focused on recruiting Lucas Beraldo (Sao Paulo) and Gabriel Moscardo (Corinthians).

Chelsea and Arsenal in pole position

Premier League clubs now seem to be in a favorable position to secure Messinho’s services. According to information from the same Catalan media, Chelsea and Arsenal are in pole position in the case.

Chelsea is said to be about to make a €32 million offer for the young prodigy, with bonuses that could significantly increase the total amount of the transaction. For their part, the London Gunners are not lagging behind and are also seeking to seduce Messinho, notably taking advantage of the already established presence of several Brazilian players in their squad.
