Pep Guardiola, the Manchester City coach, recently phoned Neymar, the Brazilian star of PSG. This conversation aimed to understand the intentions of the player when the latter, although under contract with PSG until 2027, would not be opposed to a departure this summer. The information comes from the newspaper L’Équipe.
Despite his long-term contract with PSG, the 31-year-old Neymar is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle, who would like to attract this Brazilian star recruited by PSG from FC Barcelona for the record sum of 222 million euros in 2017.

While the Red Devils, who will return to the Champions League, put pressure on Neymar with the help of Casemiro, his teammate in the Brazilian National Team, the other Manchester club, Manchester City, is also interested in having his talents next season. Pep Guardiola therefore called Neymar to probe his state of mind.
However, according to the information, there is very little chance that the Brazilian will sign with the English champions at the moment. Despite interest from Pep Guardiola and Manchester City, Neymar seems more inclined to stay at PSG or consider other possible opportunities.
