Since Tite resigned after the elimination in the last World Cup, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) seemed to make it clear that its main candidate was always Carlo Ancelotti. As reported by Globo, the Italian would have already accepted the offer, although he would only take office in 2024.

Well, Carletto has one more year on his contract with Real Madrid, so his path in Brazil would begin once the next season ends. Until then, a man he trusted would work alongside interim coach Ramon Menezes.

Brazil would announce Ancelotti next year

Ancelotti cannot officially settle with another club until January, so in the coming months there would be no confirmation from the Brazilian federation or from the manager himself. Until he is released from the Spanish club, the Seleção will have to play eight games, not counting the current June friendlies.

In September, the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup will begin, so Brazil would have to play several official commitments without a permanent coach. Either way, the confederation seems to be convinced that Carletto is worth waiting for.
