Striker Júnior Santos can reach an important mark for Botafogo this Sunday (27). If he enters the field against Bahia, for the Brazilian Championship, the athlete will complete 50 games with Glorioso’s shirt.
Júnior Santos started his trajectory at the club in 2022. After a quick spell at Fortaleza, he returned to Botafogo in April of this year. Since then, it has been an important part of the black and white season. Present in all matches in the campaign of the leader of the Brazilian Championship, the striker celebrates the brand and the good moment of the team in the competition.

“Happy to be able to complete this mark for the club. If I take the field, I will definitely do my best to help and make the team win and keep a good distance in the lead. I was able to be present in all the games of the Brazilian so far and that only motivates me to continue dedicating myself to, whenever the coaching staff needs it, to be ready,” evaluated the player.
Only he, Lucas Perri and Tchê Tchê – who will miss the weekend’s duel due to suspension – participated in all of Botafogo’s matches in the Brasileirão. The team had the best first round in the history of running points by scoring 47 points.
Botafogo faces Bahia this Sunday (27), at 4pm (Brasília time), in Engenhão. The team is the leader of the tournament with 48 points, 11 more than vice-leader Palmeiras.
“We know the difficulties of facing Bahia, it is a team that is always complicated. As a Bahian, these matches will always be special for me. In the first round we went there, I was able to score a goal and my family members were there. I hope that, if I enter the field, I can repeat this feat and help my team,” concluded Júnior Santos.
