The Champions League quarterfinals were drawn and, as expected, there will be great matches. Real Madrid will clash with the current champion Manchester City, while FC Barcelona will face Paris Saint-Germain in the standout duels.

At the same time, Atlético Madrid and Borussia Dortmund will play for another spot in the semifinals, while the remaining match will be between Arsenal and Bayern Munich. The first leg matches will be played on April 9 and 10, while the second legs will take place on April 16 and 17.

The clash between Real Madrid and Manchester City, with the first leg at the Santiago Bernabéu, will bring together two of the top favorites due to the strength of their squad and coaches. It will also be a rematch for both teams: in 2022, the Spanish club eliminated the English team in the semifinals with an epic comeback, while last year it was the British side that advanced convincingly, including a 4-0 win at home.

On the other hand, the matchup between FC Barcelona and PSG, with the first leg in Paris, also has its special ingredients. Luis Enrique, PSG’s coach, is the last manager to win the Champions League with Barcelona, and all eyes will be on Kylian Mbappé, amid unofficial reports that he will join Real Madrid next season.

Beyond the quarterfinals, the possible semifinals were also drawn: the winner of Atlético-Borussia will face the winner of PSG-Barcelona on one side of the bracket, and the victor of Arsenal-Bayern will meet the winner of Real Madrid-City on the other side.

The first leg matches of the semis will be played on April 30 and May 1, with the second legs on May 7 and 8. The grand final will take place on June 1 at the legendary Wembley Stadium in London.
