Evanilson also attracted interest from a host of other European sides. The likes of Manchester City and Crystal Palace were also linked the Brazilian forward. Asides the English side, Internacional was also among the interested parties but the player eventually decided to swoop for Porto.
Fluminense appeared to confirm the departure of the player via an official statement saying they will retain 6% of economic rights
over the percentage of Tombense in a future sale that will be made by the Porto.
“As informed to Fluminense by the club that holds the athlete"s federative rights, striker Evanilson agreed to transfer him to a team from Portugal. Fluminense had 10% economic rights for the athlete and 20% showcase fee, which is why he will have 30 % of the financial result obtained by Tombense (MG) on the sale to the Portuguese club.
"Tricolor will remain with 6% of economic rights over the percentage of Tombense in a future sale to be made by the Portuguese club. Fluminense also informs that it tried to keep the athlete until the end of the Brazilian Championship, but the Portuguese club did not relax and demanded that the athlete go immediately."

Evanilson will arrive at Porto as a young and promising striker with lots of skill and quality to offer. So far, the 20-year-old remains the deputy-scorer for Fluminense this season with nine goals in 24 appearances.
