Coach Phelipe Leal celebrated the Brazilian team’s qualification for the quarterfinals of the U17 World Cup, this Monday (20). At the Manahan Stadium, in Surakarta, Indonesia, the place was won with the 3-1 victory over Ecuador, an opponent praised by Phelipe, who praised his team’s performance.
“A great game, we were already expecting a very qualified opposing team. There were four clashes throughout the year and four draws. Today, in a World Cup knockout game, it couldn’t be any different. The coach referred to the matches that served as preparation for the South American Championship and the clashes during the competition. In friendlies, the teams drew 4-4 and 1-1. In the South American Championship, they finished 2-2 in two matches.

He praised the collective commitment shown by the Brazilian team throughout the journey in search of the fifth Under-17 world championship.
