He will sign with Glorioso until the end of the Brazilian Championship, with an option to extend for the next two years. The 27 year old made an agreement over his salary with the club few days back.

In his first year, if his performance is satisfactory, Glorioso can extend his contract for another two seasons if they so choose to.
Kelvin, who has previously played for clubs like Palmeiras , São Paulo, Vasco and Fluminense, recently left Avaí. The striker is an option for Botafogo because of his speedy nature. His acquisition by the General Severiano was to make up for the absence of Luiz Fernando and Luis Henrique.

Botafogo have so far struggled in the Brazilian Championship and could do with the addition of a new forward that could provide goals upfront.
With only 12 goals scored so far, only three sides have scored less than Botafogo this season. Perhaps Kelvin could help on that front.
