The 24-year-old has made 27 appearances for her former club over the period of two seasons and was unable to nail down a starting berth in France.
She has made seven caps for the Brazil women’s team, with her first outing in national colours coming back in 2018. She was also a part of the Brazil national women’s team at the World Cup in 2019.
Inter finished seventh in her realm at the club this season, after it was cancelled way ahead of schedule due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Kathellen played at the Monroe College of the National Junior College Athletic Association through an athletic scholarship in which she spent two years. In her remaining two years of college eligibility, she spent it at Louisville Cardinals and UCF Knights, respectively, in NCAA Division.

Going into football as a career not long after, she subsequently received an offer from FC Girondins de Bordeaux and joined the French Division 1 Féminine club half way through their 2017–18 seasons.
After a successful 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup with Brazil, and an elite level performance against France, Kathellen was linked to many major European clubs, including newly-promoted CD Tacón, due to become Real Madrid for season 2020–21. She snubbed all of those moves and chose to remain in France regardless.
She is now the new star for the Inter Milan Women team as they look to mount a title charge next term. Kathellen is an asset as she is well known to be able to feature virtually anywhere in defence.
The new Serie A feminine 2020 season is set to start on August 22.
