The presence of famous Brazilian footballer Neymar at the Spanish Grand Prix has sparked heated controversy and could lead to strict measures by the FIA to limit access to the grid during Formula 1 races.
VIP guests, celebrities, team members and members of the international media are granted access to the grid prior to the start of each F1 grand prix. The problem is that Neymar and others were still at the edge of the grass on the main straight as the formation lap began, which is not secure.

Strict measures envisaged by the president of the FIA to guarantee safety on the grid
FIA President Mohammad Ben Sulayem has hinted that strict measures could be put in place to restrict access to the grid. He stressed that safety was the Federation’s top priority, and that measures had to be taken to avoid any further incidents similar to that of the Spanish Grand Prix.
Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali reassured the FIA that measures were underway to prevent such situations in the future. However, it should be noted that this problem is not limited to F1, but also affects other motorsport categories, such as Formula E and the World Endurance Championship.
