Neymar is back in Paris to continue his rehabilitation after having a right ankle surgery in March. The 31-year-old had started his treatment at home in Brazil, but returned to France to remove his postoperative orthopedic boot.

Paris Saint-Germain released a statement on their official website announcing Neymar’s return: “Neymar Jr is back at the Training Center. The medical staff of Paris Saint-Germain and the surgeons who operated on him today removed his immobilization boot. The exams are reassuring. The player will now continue his rehabilitation protocol in Paris.”

However, it’s still too early to say when the player will be back on the pitch. His absence was a blow to PSG as they prepare for the final stages of Ligue 1.

Neymar’s return is eagerly awaited by PSG supporters, even though there are reports that he won’t stay at the French club in next season. Because of the injury, he is ruled out of playing any match before the summer transfer window.

According to reports from Mirror, Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly has traveled to Paris to meet Neymar and discuss the possibility of a transfer. Chelsea have already splashed out over € 356m in January, but the club are ready to make an offer for Neymar.

Passion for Santos

Last week, Neymar attended the match between Santos and Audax Italiano (0-0) organized on the sidelines of the second day of the group stage of the South American Cup. Interviewed by Globo Esporte, he spoke about the possibility of returning to Pelé’s club one day. “One day I will come back, I will come back soon,” he said.
