PSG dropped points for the second time in Ligue 1 after failing to hold off Bordeaux and playing out to a stalemate. A goal from their former starlet in Yacine Adli condemned PSG to a draw that leaves them in a pretty worrisome form at the moment.
The result follows after PSG blew a two-goal lead in their previous game and once again they pay the price for failing to convert their chances.
Bordeaux took the lead early on in the 10th minute after an unfortunate headed own-goal from Timothy Pembele following a corner from ex-PSG man Ben Arfa.
Neymar soon leveled the scoring when he was brought down in the box in the 27th minute. He made no mistake from the spot and fired home his 50th Ligue 1 goal in only his 58th appearance, becoming the fastest player to do so as well.
Just a minute later, PSG turned the game around with a calm finish from Moise Kean set up by Neymar. The reigning champions looked to be in control from then on and the first half ended with PSG in the lead.
At the start of the second half, Mbappe was denied a goal via a nice back-heel after it was correctly ruled out for offside.
The game took a different twist when Bordeaux brought in former PSG starlet in 20-year-old Adli in the 58th minute. Barely less than two minutes on the pitch, Hartem Ben Arfa set up the youngster who fired home into the top right corner.
The result means Lille could go level on points with PSG should they win their game against St Etienne. It also means PSG must make a quick response as they face a crunch clash with Manchester United in the Champions League on Wednesday.
