Neymar, in full recovery after his serious knee injury, finds himself at the heart of a legal battle. The Al Hilal player has decided to file a complaint against influencer Sophia Barclay for defamation, demanding a sum of more than 18,000 euros in damages, according to information relayed by the Brazilian media UOL.
According to UOL revelations, Neymar is suing Sophia Barclay over a series of interviews in which she claimed to have had intimate relations with the footballer, as well as with surfer Pedro Scooby and another woman, at a party. These statements, considered false by Neymar, would have tarnished his dignity, his image and his reputation.

The influencer did not just reveal these alleged affairs; she also allegedly claimed that Neymar would have offered a confidentiality contract so that their relationship would not be made public, under penalty of a fine of 3,700 euros. An allegation which adds a new element to this already complex legal matter.
On Sophia Barclay’s side, things take an unexpected turn. Indeed, the young woman, who claims to receive death threats from Neymar fans, publicly apologized to those involved in this affair. However, this did not stop Neymar from continuing the legal proceedings.
