Brazilian duo David Neres and Antony starred for Ajax as the Dutch giants strolled past Young Boys and qualified for the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
Despite their 3-0 loss in the first leg, the Swiss outfit saw a slow start to the game and it was a familiar scenario of Ajax dominating proceedings.
The Dutch giants then broke the deadlock just after 20 minutes with a fine strike from David Neres, following an assist from Dusan Tadic.
It was the seventh goal of the season for the Brazilian, his second in the Europa League after four games played.
After the restart, Ajax continued to dominate play and it was inevitable they would get their second. In the 49th minute, the second goal eventually came through.
The Dutch outfit were awarded a penalty and Tadic continued his fine form for the club as he made no mistake from the spot to make for Ajax’s second of the night.
Young Boys thought they had pulled one back after Nsame scored not long after. However, their joy was short-lived after the goal was ruled out for offside after a VAR review.
In the end, Ajax claimed yet another win over Young Boys to make it a 5-0 win on aggregate.
For Neres, he struggled for a good part of the game after his goal but overall had a decent outing. Antony looked promising and was eager to get on the end of things but failed to hit the target once after taking four shots in the course of the game.
Ajax will take on Roma in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
