Top of the ranking

At 43 years and 26 days old, Nenê topped this list. He surpassed former goalkeeper Rogério Ceni, who scored at 42 years and six months during a match for São Paulo against Figueirense in 2015.

“I am very honored and happy with this milestone. To have surpassed players who were my idols, Zé Roberto, Rogério Ceni himself, Romário… I never imagined reaching such a mark, playing at a high level in Série A,” said Nenê.

“Happy and grateful to God for strengthening me and gifting me with such a beautiful and important moment,” celebrated the experienced Juventude player.

In the ranking of the oldest players to score in the Campeonato Brasileiro, Zé Roberto holds the third position; Romário is in fourth place; and D’Alessandro completes the “top 5.”
