The first opportunity in the new position came four months ago, in the game in which Brazil beat Chile 4-0, at the Mané Garrincha Stadium, in Brasília. The match marked not only the beginning of the Women’s Team’s journey towards the World Cup, but also the beginning of a new story for Leide.

“My first trip was to Brasília. In my first opportunity against Chile, I was shaking, but I felt safe because I had two people with me, Fábio and Andrezinho, who are also kit workers. It was my first plane trip, I was nervous, I had never flown on a plane, but overall it was peaceful. It was a lot of work, but in the end everything worked out.”

Although she often remains behind the scenes, his role is essential to the team’s success. She not only ensures that the players and coaching staff are dressed appropriately for each match, but is also responsible for all of the team’s materials and equipment.

“I am always the first to wake up, the last to sleep, always the first to arrive to prepare all the clothes and, if necessary, take any equipment. We are always ready, taking care of all the details, from head to toe. clothing, we always need to be one step ahead to serve both the athletes and the coaching staff.”

Now, Leide is accompanying the U17 Women’s National Team in three friendlies in Costa Rica.

“The experience is new for me. I’m here, on my first international trip. I thought I wouldn’t be able to get here, but I’m here. I thought it would be very difficult, but it’s been very pleasant. I won’t say it’s easy, because It’s a demanding profession, but I’m doing it. I feel like I’m doing well, otherwise I wouldn’t be here alone today.”
