Internacional midfielder Maurício ended the season as the U23 player with the most assists all year. In 48 games, the player scored 11 goals and distributed 11 assists.
Colorado finished the Brazilian Championship in ninth place, with 55 points won, in 38 rounds. Furthermore, the team reached the semifinals of the Libertadores da América this year and was a semifinalist for the State Champion.
“This was one of the most balanced Brazilians of all time and having achieved this significant number of assists is something that I am very proud of. More important is knowing that this makes my team win games, and helps the group to be better. I know that, because I’m still young, I have a lot to improve and this Brazilian involved a lot of work and a lot of evolution”, said Maurício.

The good run with the Colorado shirt earned the player a call-up to the Brazilian under-23 team, in friendlies in preparation for the 2024 Olympics. He participated in two friendlies against Morocco, in August.
“It was a great pride to represent my country. I still have my feet on the ground, I’m going to work hard and I hope to have the chance to compete in the Olympics. But, with a lot of work and effort, I know that the opportunity will appear again. What remains now is gratitude and being able to fulfill my dream of wearing hopscotch this year. I’m living my dream and that gives me a lot of joy”, replied the player.
Recently, Internacional has had to deal with harassment from Brazilian football in Maurício. In Brazil, Brazilian Champion Palmeiras, in addition to Flamengo and Corinthians, showed interest in the athlete.
