Champion of the Libertadores, Fluminense is now in Saudi Arabia to participate in the Club World Cup. They will play their first match on Monday (18) against Al-Ahly or Al-Ittihad, who will face each other this Friday (15).

In a press conference before training today, Fluzão‘s midfielder Martinelli spoke about the competition and what they expect for the semifinal.

“Pressure (due to the quality of the opponents), no, but we know that the level increases every year. We have a great team and it will be a great duel. The semi-final is increasingly difficult, so we have to pay attention to the games,” he stated.

“Regardless of who comes, we have to have confidence to play a great game. No fans, no. Let’s see who will come and prepare well. I think it’s normal for every athlete. Everyone will want to see the game. We’ll be at the hotel, so we’ll turn on the television and watch the game. This is free will.”
