The greatest symbol of women’s football in Brazil, striker Marta trained for eight days with the Brazilian team at Granja Comary, in Teresópolis, and had the experience of working for the first time with coach Arhur Elias. The impression was the best possible.
“He has a very modern and bold style. There is this vision that our team has a lot of talent, with very fast girls. He wants many variations, so that the Seleção does not stick to just one type of game. It was a very fruitful period. We came to training wanting to train, to learn, to listen.”

For the player, Arthur Elias’ objective tends to be facilitated by the fact that the Seleção has several athletes who play in different positions.
Marta did not want to make plans for her next calls, but made it clear that competing in the Paris Olympics in 2024 is a dream.
“Not just for me, Cristiane and other colleagues with more time in the national team. It’s a dream for so many other girls who are having the opportunity to be here and want to represent our country in the Olympics.”
Regarding the reunion with Cristiane, she said it was enough to satisfy her longing. “We played together for many years in the national team and at clubs. We are already at the end of our career, but, who knows, there will be a new opportunity to play in another great championship, to defend our national team again as we did for many years with love and affection. For all that, this week in Teresópolis was very good.”
Marta and 29 other players trained under the command of Arthur Elias at the Brazilian team’s concentration in Teresópolis from November 18th to 25th. The group will meet again in October, during the FIFA date.
