The World Cup Qualifiers start this week for South American countries. One of the big names in the competition is Marcelo Moreno, a Bolivian striker. He makes his debut, along with the Bolivian National Team, on September 8th, against Brazil, at the Mangueirão stadium in Belém do Pará, at 9:45 pm (Brasília time).
The player who has a history in Brazilian clubs like Cruzeiro, Flamengo and Grêmio, was born in Bolivia, but has Brazilian nationality, in addition to his father being Brazilian. In addition to all personal context, this Friday’s game will be a milestone for the player. The top scorer will leave Ronald Raldes behind and will isolate himself as the athlete with the most games for the Bolivian National Team, with 103 games.

In the last Qualifiers for the World Cup, the Bolivian team finished in 9th place, with 15 points, in 18 games, staying 11 points behind Peru, in fifth place, which qualified for the play-off of the Cup. It should be noted that Marcelo Moreno is the top scorer of the national team with 30 goals scored.
