Manchester United plans to part with several of its players during the winter transfer window in order to free up payroll and finance new transfers. According to information from the English press, Erik ten Hag would be ready to listen to offers for three of his stars: Casemiro, Raphaël Varane and Jadon Sancho.

A disappointment, Casemiro pushed towards the exit
The Mancunian club recruited Casemiro last summer from Real Madrid for 60 million euros. At 30, the Brazilian midfielder was then considered the necessary reinforcement of experience in the Red Devils’ midfield. However, he has not always lived up to expectations since his arrival, with performances below his usual level. Additionally, he is currently injured. In this context, Manchester United could decide to let him leave in January in order to collect a transfer fee and reduce its payroll.

Another targeted player, Raphaël Varane, does not escape Ten Hag’s desire to leave either. Recruited from Real in 2021 for 34 million euros, the French defender is struggling to make matches with Manchester United due to recurring injuries. Little used in recent weeks, he could bounce back elsewhere from the winter transfer window.
