According to information relayed by the English media The Mirror, Manchester United would consider recruiting Brazilian striker Gabriel Barbosa from Flamengo during the January winter transfer window.
Aged 27, “Gabigol” never managed to establish himself in Europe during his mixed spell at Inter Milan between 2016 and 2018. Since his return to Brazil, he has relaunched at Flamengo and has more than of 100 goals in less than 3 seasons, attracting the interest of several European clubs including the Red Devils.

As reported by The Mirror, the Mancunian club would consider bringing the player for an amount of 20 million pounds, including the loan of Antony, in difficulty in his adaptation, in the transaction. This transfer rumor comes as Manchester United is experiencing offensive difficulties this season, with only 5 goals scored by its attackers in the league.

It remains to be seen whether this avenue mentioned by the English media will materialize in January, with coach Erik Ten Hag looking for solutions to revive the Mancunian house.
