Since 2019, Zenit St. Petersburg has become accustomed to proclaiming itself the champion of Russia. This season was no exception, as they clinched the Premier League title with several rounds to go.
Although its consecration is due to a superlative overall performance, it has been its Brazilian stars who have stood out the most. Both Malcolm and Claudinho have been unstoppable in 2022-23.

The fantastic season of Malcom and Claudinho with Zenit
Zenit shelled out a considerable amount of money for both players lately, but they proved to be worth every penny.
Malcom arrived in Russia in 2019 in exchange for 40 million euros from Barcelona, and he did much better than at the Camp Nou. The winger was crucial in this championship, contributing the impressive mark of 22 goals in 26 games, as well as providing nine assists.
Claudinho, for his part, was a true team player, registering 10 goal passes, as well as finding the net five times. Since his arrival in 2021 from RB Bragantino, the midfielder returned the trust placed in him.
Zenit have a few games ahead of them this semester, but they are already enjoying their league trophy. Next season, with the Brazilians in the lead, they will try to hit Europe.
